Kocher + Beck USA akquiriert American Die Technology

Founded in 1965 in Stuttgart, Germany, Kocher + Beck today is the world leader in flexible die and cutting technology with manufacturing plants in Germany, Russia, the U.K. and the U.S.A.

With the opening of a sales office in 1999 and a manufacturing plant in the Kansas City area in early 2001, Kocher + Beck commits to the North American market and its position as a global tooling supplier.

In November 2005 Kocher + Beck USA moved to a brand new, state of the art 35,000 sqft. manufacturing plant, in Lenexa, KS to accommodate the growing demand for quality flexible dies in North America.

In January 2008 Kocher + Beck USA acquired American Die Technology of Suwanee, GA making Kocher + Beck USA the second largest tooling manufacturer in North America with two production facilities, over 100 employees and strategically located sales offices. This also strengthens Kocher + Beck’s position as the global leader for rotary and flexible tooling worldwide.

ADT was founded in 1985 in Atlanta, GA and quickly became the leader for quality rotary tooling in North America. Today, ADT is operated by the second generation that continues this leadership for quality rotary tooling combined with world-class service and innovation. The company is located 30 miles north of Atlanta in a 52,000 sq. ft. State of the art facility.

The new Kocher + Beck USA will manufacture hard tooling at the Suwanee, GA location. The product range includes engraved rotary tools for various applications, which consists of EDM, MARATHON, AD2, Platinum, AD1 and Thermalizer dies.
In addition to rotary dies are Hot Foil Stamps and Hot Stamp Units, removable blade sheeter/perforators, anvils/pressure rolls, printing cylinders, gears, Equalizer pressure monitors, KMS pressure monitors, screen end rings, multi scorer units and magnetic cylinders manufactured in Suwanee, GA.

All flexible dies are manufactured in Lenexa, KS in the well-known Universal and Laser-Long-Life (3L) quality as well as in the low cost SAP quality.

Both US locations also sell and service the very popular GAP MASTER adjustable anvil units that can nowadays be found on most modern label presses.
